Welcome to the NPNZ 2022 Conference website.
We, the conference committee and the NPNZ executive are looking forward to what we hope will be a productive and relaxing time together-not to be taken for granted, to celebrate now 21 years of NP’s practising in New Zealand.  Much planning is going into making this an event where we will hear about advances in the work NP’s are doing across New Zealand and Australia, and learn about new ways to make a difference for our patients.   With the postponement of the conference, some will have had to change plans, and some of you are now able to attend.  We welcome all who are able to join us.

With a range of presenters and educational sessions as well as poster presentations, there will be something for everyone.

2020 was the year of the Nurse and Midwife and what a year it was. While our conference scheduled for 2021 was postponed, NPs have not been idle and we have gone from just over 500 to over 600 NPs practicing in New Zealand.

2022 has been a very challenging year for all of us and you will have been working very hard for both your patients as well as your families and whanau.

We hope the conference will be a chance to take a short break from your heavy clinical loads and to spend some time learning and reconnecting with friends and colleagues in the Wairarapa.
Please come and join us.

I am looking forward to seeing you there.
Ngā mihi
